Things to Consider when Buying Office Chairs
When purchasing an office chair it is important that you ensure that you take into account the type of floor surface that you will be operating the chair on. The castors as the trade call them (wheels) on office chairs are normally made of nylon. These allow the even large leather office chairs to move without much effort on carpets, but when used on laminate floors, or clean room areas the standard castor makes the movement of the chair a hazard. It can cause the chair to move quickly and may even cause damage to other pieces of office furniture, by banging into office screens, or going over loose cables. You can purchase chair mats, but they are no good if you require to move around different areas. A quick solution to the problem is the purchase, fitting and smooth operation of rubberised castors or braking castors. The rubber castors give you movement but do restrict the movement, where as the braking castors, stop the chair from moving totally, when any weight is put on the chair. This is not always ideal, if you need to have lots of movement at your office desk so make sure that you know which to buy in the event of upgrading your office furniture.
